The Abeokuta South Local Government has taken a significant step towards enhancing its revenue generation capabilities with the commissioning of additional revenue vehicles. The vehicles were handed over to Necad Nero, a consultant company led by CEO Mr. Nurudeen Adenuga, to aid in revenue collection for the Local Government.
The ceremony, held at the Local Government Secretariat, Ake was attended by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Oluranti Ogunjemilusi, who represented the Chairman. She emphasized that the provision of the vehicles is a great initiative that will minimize revenue leakages and promote transparency in revenue collection. The vehicles are branded with the Local Government's logo, making them easily identifiable.
Hon. Ogunjemilusi urged the contractor to utilize the vehicles to meet the objectives of increasing revenue drive in the Local Government, expressing confidence that the people would cooperate with them. Mr. Adenuga, in his remarks, disclosed that the company is committed to driving more revenue to the Local Government while ensuring a transparent and efficient collection process.
Mr. Adenuga commended the Chairman for his visionary leadership and giant strides in development projects, particularly in entrusting the revenue drive to Necad Nero. He expressed optimism that by December 31st, Abeokuta South Local Government would be the leading revenue-generating Local Government in the Southwest, excluding Lagos State.
The partnership between Abeokuta South Local Government and Necad Nero aims to enhance revenue generation and drive development projects in the Local Government Area. With the new vehicles, the Local Government is poised to take a significant leap towards achieving its revenue goals and delivering essential projects to its citizens.
