Ogun State Organised Labour Suspends Strike After Productive Talks with Government

The State Organised Labour has announced the suspension of the industrial strike that began on July 14, 2025, following a series of engagements with the Ogun State Government. The decision was made after a Memorandum of Action (MOA) was signed, outlining the actions to be taken by the Government.

According to the leadership of the State Organised Labour, the suspension of the strike is to allow space and time for the implementation of the actions spelt out in the MOA. Workers are expected to resume duties today, July 22, 2025.

The labour leaders cited several reasons for the suspension, including interventions from eminent citizens, meaningful engagement with the State Government, and security concerns. They expressed appreciation to the entire workforce for their solidarity and perseverance during the strike.

The leadership assured workers that no one would be victimized for participating in the strike and urged them to remain vigilant and steadfast in the pursuit of their demands.
