It's a significant milestone for governance and development in Ogun Waterside Local Government recently as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Odunwoiki Abdulganiu Adetoye, has signed the 2025 budget into law. This crucial step underscores the administration's commitment to transparency, accountability, presence fiscal management in the year under review.
The signing ceremony, which took place at the Chairman's office on 27th May, 2025 had in attendance some key senior officers and stakeholders, including the Leader of the Legislative Arm Hon. Felix Ajayi, Honourable Councilors, Supervisors, Advisers, the Head of Local Government Administration, Elder Odusoga Olalekan Monsuru and some Government officials amongst many others.
In his remarks, Hon. Odunnoiki emphasized his administration's dedication and commitment towards ensuring that the budget aligns with the needs and aspirations of the Local Government’s residents. He highlighted some key areas of focus for the 2025 budget, which includes areas such as infrastructural development, healthcare, education, agricultural and natural resources development, human empowerment, and capacity building etc.
He noted that the budget is a testament to the local government’s resolve to drive sustainable development and improve the quality of life for its citizenry by prioritizing critical sectors and initiatives, the administration is aimed to foster economic growth, enhance public services, and promote social welfarism.
The signing of the budget into law marks the beginning of its implementation, as he attested to the fact that all eyes are on the administration to ensure that the financial plan translates into tangible benefits for the entire Council area.
The Ogun Waterside Local Government leadership remains committed to working collaboratively with its citizens and partners to achieve the objectives already outlined in the 2025 budget. As the new financial year unfolds, residents can look forward to seeing the fruits of these efforts in the form of improved infrastructures, enhanced services, and a stronger, more resilient community.
