Yewa South local government, led by its Executive Chairman, Hon. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, has sworn in Abdul Jabar AYELAGBE has the new Secretary to the local government (SLG).
He was sworn in on Thursday, 23rd January, after the statutory screening of the legislative council of the local government.
According to Council's Chairman, Hon Ogunsola, the appointment is an inevitable one in the smooth running of the Council's affairs.
He expressed that the appointment of Jabar Ayelagbe is a "culmination of the consistency of His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, to promote democracy at the grassroots."
Prior to this, he said, the Governor had done so much in "transforming Ogun and creating enabling atmosphere for democracy to strive," hence a peaceful and impactful decision such as this is another evidence of his modus operandi"
The Chairman enjoined the new SLG "to see his appointment as a Clarion call to stamp his feet on the sand of time by diligently and innovatively serving our people at the grassroots so as to reap dividends of democracy."
